Last pictures from our day out in Santa Barbara, all in black and white, and a little video for the memories 🖤
I will gladly come back here anytime I can, the city offered so many great experiences. Between the heavy-poured cocktails, the amazing seafood and smoked fishes, the wine tastings, the cool people and the good finds in vintage stores… it was really lovely.
You will notice palm trees in abundance, hills and ocean surrounding this town like a postcard, wine tasting spots available a bit everywhere, that they love country music (so do I), and that people are lovely under these perfect conditions 💙
Come away, and fall in love with beautiful California ✨
LA is usually perceived like this big beautiful place, with beautiful people, and always gorgeous weather… and it’s not really like that in real life. Hollywood made it a dreamy postcard, but living here is just not easy. Especially if you have dreams. This tarantula of a city has its ways of crushing them if you can’t make it, and that’s really traumatizing to say the least. Because you’re still surrounded by the Hills, and the pressure of all of the lights, and the celebrities that you run into.
For me it’s inspiring. All of it. The despair, the dirt, the shiny things, the fake people, the amazing talents, and the list goes on… the incredible memories that I make there, are like fuel for me. It’s the prettiest and most soul-crushing place I know, and for that I love it. The stars have me.
Absolute favorite place to go for hangouts… it was a really chill day, didn’t do much apart from some light shopping. Mostly I wanted to go to the pier, just to see the ocean up close. I’m in love with the big-ass Pacific waves. Don’t really know why, but I shot everything in black and white. Although I do find the contrast cool, and a bit grungy. I’m enjoying my time being back in LA, I keep saying it, but I’ve missed being here so much, it’s like being able to breathe again normally. It feels great.
It’s like no matter where you look, life is filtered to fit an amazing film. I just love being here so much because I’m at peace. It doesn’t matter what I say or do, being crazy hopeful is normal, it’s the way of an Angeleno life. My creativity skyrockets in these conditions.
