I enjoy long romantic walks down the airplane aisle.

We went to the Silicon Valley…

I enjoy long romantic walks down the airplane aisle.
I’ve wanted for a while to visit Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, and my dream came true !

First stop – at the Apple Store nearby, nicknamed “Visitor Center” where you can find cool goodies that you wouldn’t be able to get at any other store. Fun fact, they don’t have a Genius Bar… which makes sense, because it’s mostly a pit stop for tourists.

What’s nice is that they have a cafeteria. I loved the design of the building, it’s incredibly beautiful and aesthetic. They have a map of Apple Park inside, that you can visualize via iPads in augmented reality, which is fun.

Second stop for me is beyond limit for tourists – without going into details, I was lucky enough to experience the breathtaking circular spaceship that is Apple Park. It is absolutely bananas inside !

I can’t tell or share anything about it, except for my feelings which were basically : “OMGosh”, “Is this real life ?!”, “I can’t believe where I am right now !”, “Can somebody pinch me because I’m having a stroke”, “I NEVER WANT TO LEAVE !” pretty much… It was the highlight of my trip.

I followed my heart and it lead me to the airport.

“When you put love out in the world, it travels”

I followed my heart and it lead me to the airport.
Back to my Californian hometown… Redondo Beach !

I consider the South Bay area to be the best in Los Angeles, not only because of the amazing beaches, but also the chill vibes and beautiful houses.

When I first arrived in L.A. in 2012 (oh boy, that’s a long time ago !) I had no clue this place would be so pretty. I totally fell in love, and it obviously broke my heart when I moved to Paris. Time away has become an eternity…

I had been waiting for too long to be reunited with my best friend Noah again; I don’t know which one of us is crazier – probably me, but I do know we complete each other’s silliness. & I missed that, so much.

We spent such a great afternoon together, my sister was there as well. We chatted, and laughed and I just felt like myself again. It was like, I hadn’t been myself since I had gone. This trip completely restored me.

Los Angeles, I'm yours
Italy ?… Never heard of her !

What has always baffled & amazed me, is that you can literally find anything in L.A. That place will either make or break your dreams, but in the process you will have experiences unlike any other place.

Sunsets are proof that endings can be beautiful too.

Who would have thought LA was so cold in March…

Sunsets are proof that endings can be beautiful too.
After crossing an entire ocean, and a continent… we finally arrived in beautiful, sunny Los Angeles. Where it was freakishly cold. Or were we too sleep-deprived to feel any warmth, I don’t know.

What I do know is that :
– There were no Uber answering from LAX, thanks to their slow wifi.
– I had forgotten to refill my T-Mobile account so I couldn’t use data to move away from the airport and eventually get an Uber to drive us home.
– That we didn’t have any change for at least taking a bus away from LAX, because we hadn’t thought this through…
– We did finally find an ATM and someone who accepted to change a 10$ bill.
– Somehow we managed to miss our bus, so we had to wait almost an hour for the next one…
– Finally, after 15hours or more of crazy travel, we were home-ish… except the apartment I used to stay at, was now the house next door. We didn’t even have the right address, oh well.

After those insanities, we decided sleep would be our best ally – the next morning was a total breakfast binge at Denny’s ! Welcome to America !

If kisses were stars, I would give you the sky.

“I smiled. We were under the same sky at least.”

If kisses were stars, I would give you the sky.
We flew back to Los Angeles from Paris, with my sister… so many feelings & memories came through. Last time we went together it was crazy and wild, we had awesome little adventures and many what the heck moments.

I couldn’t shake the happiness in my heart because we waited for this trip for such a long time. I didn’t know what to expect, but I was delighted to find out.

Favorite Comic Con ever

WonderCon 2019
I literally crossed an entire ocean and continent to get there !

I remember the first year I moved to LA and was introduced to the geek world, by a very good friend of mine : I was completely blown away. I had always been a geek at heart, but I had never imagined that places like convention centers that welcomed the biggest gatherings of geeks existed.

It changed my life. I started attending so many Comic Cons, and I even made a website where I would post about it and review stuff, and share cosplay… it was past my teenage years but I was a late bloomer, so really it felt like puberty time had finally hit me.

I mostly remember the fun, and the good times, and feeling like I belonged. I used to think I was a weirdo because of my hobbies, until I realized that there were others just like me. That made me gain confidence.

I’ve kinda put it away since I started “adulting”, but I still enjoy going back to these places, like comic book stores, because of all the awesome memories I had. You can still wander around my used-to-be platforms…

Let's go somewhere where the stars kiss the ocean

Throwbacks photos to Santa Monica from last September… ugh, I miss this place more than I’d miss breathing air.
