When you find out your normal daily life is called “quarantine”

When you find out your normal daily life is called "quarantine"

These days, being confined at home, I like to take myself on a walk in the woods.

I don’t do it every day, because since it’s winter time we can get some gosh-awful weather. Definitely the worst is the combined winds + rain. Which for me cancels any thoughts of going out.

I have barely mentioned anything regarding my health issues, other than, I need to take some time off to care for myself… I don’t think I’m ready to write about it yet, but basically what I have is chronic. I am learning to live with it, and do the best I can whilst dealing with that. It sure hasn’t been easy but I’m an optimistic, and grateful person.

So, one of the most important thing in my daily life is to walk. Going into the woods gives me such good energy, it recharges me, connects me to the simple enjoyable things, and the importance of life. It also inspires me to look forward no matter what.

Palm trees, ocean breeze, and vitamin sea

Palm trees, ocean breeze, and vitamin sea

So many palm trees in Santa Barbara… from the moment I stepped foot in that city, I fell in love with it.

It’s such a beautiful, calm place. Walking under the blazing sun, smelling the ocean and seeing happy faces all around, was a pure blessing. What a peaceful moment. We truly were in a bubble, away from anything bad in the world. I loved it, and it was exactly what I needed 💙

I wanna know how many miles I’ve scrolled on my phone with my thumb

I wanna know how many miles I've scrolled on my phone with my thumb

A walk through a marvellous garden…

A soft summer breeze is blowing, I’m hearing the leaves tickling each other and giggling with a distinct whistling, as if they are actually little human beings. Everything is alive in this forest, and I myself am part of it. I’m as human as the centenary tree in the middle of it all. I’m part of everything in this place, as much as they’re part of me.

My elvish skin is nourished by the sun rays, just like the flowers, and I blossom throughout the year in the same manner. I feel more connected to the ground I walk on, than the weird city lights I see being built in the far away. I wish they’ll stay that way. We don’t need artificial anything here, it’s already so full of life.

Does anyone else take 3-5 business days to put their laundry away or is it just me

Does anyone else take 3-5 business days to put their laundry away or is it just me

Cherry picking is probably my favorite activity, after laying in the sun and reading. I love that my Grandma planted a bunch of cherry trees, and that now we get so many of them every year. They’re so full of juice, and better eaten fresh, right after being picked. Oh how I love my summers in Serbia ❤️

I’d survive Scream because I don’t answer the phone ever

I'd survive Scream because I don't answer the phone ever

I sat there between the cherry trees, smelling the freshly cut grass and blooming roses. I was reading yet another Greek tragedy… I’m so fond of those. My life hasn’t been as adventurous as Ulysses sailing the Ionian sees. I haven’t met no cyclopes, or witch-goddess, or even sirens. Or even had a mortal love. Those stories aren’t just tragedies, they’re so vibrant they make you feel alive.
