My boyfriend loves Nietzsche, so I surprised him with this hike !
I knew there was this beautiful path that the philosopher used to take to get to the medieval town of Èze. It’s definitely more for experienced hikers, and not for someone like me suffering from rheumatoid arthritis 😅. But I also read online that there were many spots along the way where you could sit and rest : and that’s absolutely true ! Without it, I wouldn’t have managed to get up there. It’s an hour hike, it took me over two hours… as you can imagine, I sat whenever I could.
It was a real challenge for the both of us, for him it was a special connection to the writer, and for me it was completely physical. Being quite recently diagnosed with two auto-immune diseases has been difficult for me, but I know I can’t achieve anything if I let that be the best of me. So I push myself, and I’m always happy when I reach my goals, like this one ❤️.
