This is one of my first short films I made, back in the day when I had dreams of becoming a filmmaker and was living in Los Angeles. This movie was made in 2013, and for some reason we did two edits…
I had the first one short, made by a friend who already knew how to edit. Then I made my own, which I titled so humbly “Director’s Cut’ it was twice the length, but for some reason the people I ended up showing this little flick to, enjoyed the longer version better.
Then I don’t really know what happened, but I lost the movie file in one of my hard drives, and the download website where I had stored it, had deleted it. I thought I would never see my version again, until today… I stumbled upon it, exactly where I thought : one of my old hard drives.
So if you have the patience to watch this old thing, that was made without any means or actual budget, and is frankly quite hilarious to see how we managed to do anything for the story, then please, enjoy !
My best friend surprised me with a quick visit to Paris ! The day before I left for my summer vacay to Crete island. We had an amazing day walking around the city, which is absolutely gorgeous at that time of the year. I always miss her so much, so when we see each other, it’s a moment !
I basically couldn’t keep a normal face for too long during this photoshoot, because my boyfriend’s also a comedian and his jokes just kept getting to me. The pictures ended up so fun and genuine though, I really love the mood he set there. He truly has a nudge to getting people to do their best poses, without them even realizing it. I had a blast, and would certainly redo this.
Let’s start with the High Roller, an observation wheel, from where you can get awesome views. It’s a truly fun experience, and they have an open bar on the last floor, with an open sky; pretty sweet. Or try the Zip Line !
Definitely do a tour to the Grand Canyon; depending on your budget, you have quite a few possibilities. Usually, you can book that right there and then. They might even have discount prices, whereas online they won’t because you do that in advance.
The best shows are mostly full, so if there’s one particular show you’re into and that’s quite famous, book online. Same goes for nightclubs with DJ-celebrities, you won’t get in unless you got a ticket first. But otherwise, all unsold shows will have discounts for the same-night.
You have the Gondola Boat Rides at The Venetian, a Shark Reef Aquarium at the Mandalay Bay, a Viewing Deck at the Eiffel Tower, another iconic view from the Stratosphere Tower, and the LINQ Promenade…
