Dear diary,

here comes the freaking out phase ! From now on until… who knows when, I will be nothing more but a maniaco-crazed-moody-psychotic and out of control person (and I don’t give a damn this isn’t a real thing, because trust me if you were to meet me right now, you’d believe it is a thing : and that thing is me).

Guys, I am going bananas. There is so much changes happening in my life, that no matter how ready I was for them, it’s still turning my world upside down and I’m totally freaking out about it. Doesn’t mean I’m not happ… ier, happier, but hum, I sometimes wonder how am I gonna handle all those challenges.

I really am scared to be honest, and today I totally lost it for a bit; for a minute I just had to stop what I was doing because it hit me. In that moment I realized… things, and I freaked. I wish I hadn’t (it was pretty much like a panic attack that overcame me, so I mean it, I could have passed on that). But instead, I couldn’t focus on anything else but these changes ahead, and I couldn’t get a hold of myself.

I just breathed out a “wow” after a couple of minutes, and decided today wasn’t gonna be the day I’ll erupt like a damn volcano. There is still so much to do, I’ve only barely begun running from the starting point, on a path leading me to these new horizons. I don’t want to stop right there and collapse. I am gonna man up, and be in it for the long run, no matter what it will cost me because I’ve made up my mind, and I want these changes to happen. All of them.

GLUTEN

I have an intolerance to gluten so I don’t eat anything containingGlit, but if you want to lead an healthier life cutting it out from your diet is a good move. You find gluten in wheat and other grains like barley and rye. Eating gluten free helps with digestion and even losing weight, as long as you consume naturally gluten free food in normal portions.

GMO

Genetically modified organism is poison ! I always search for the non-GMO label or read to make sure whatever I buy does not contain any. I wouldn’t advise consuming GMOs food, and I believe all products should be labelled to let the consumers know that it is transgenic food.

TRANS FAT

Trans Fats are really bad for health, they raises “bad” cholesterol and lowers “good” cholesterol. This can lead to heart diseases, and they are listed as “hydrogenated oils” in the ingredients so even if the product is labelled “0 g trans fat” look out, because companies are authorized to label their products as so if there is less than 0.5 g of trans fat per serving.

PALM OIL

I say no to palm oil ! The industry of palm oil causes big issues such as deforestation, climate change, animal cruelty, indigenous rights abuses in the countries it is produced, and it degrades the habitat. The WWF association said each hour the equivalent size of 300 football fields of Rainforest is cleared for production. This is pushing many species to extinction as they have no possibility of survival. So, I am not buying nothing containing palm oil for those matters.

ALCOHOL

This is my personal 2015 resolution, I decided to cut out alcohol. I’ve never really consumed alcohol much before, only on some rare occasions but as this new year is starting and a lot of positive changes are finally coming through in my life, I wanted to leave out something I consider leading to negative effects, since it’s affecting the brain and body. To me it is kind of a drug because it’s addictive and I wouldn’t want to experience it that way, especially because I don’t need it. Alcohol never brings me anything positive, and I’m over feeling this type of “down” energy.
