Paris je t’aime, moi non plus

Paris je t'aime, moi non plus

Wow ! I have been looking for the last 2023 photos to share on my blog 😅

I went through my camera roll, and this week’s all that is left… I don’t have any *new* content for next week basically. Thankfully, I do have a couple trips that I never edited, or shared, so I guess you’ll be getting that until I’m able to plan photoshoots : which was part of my 2024 goal.

I want to be more thoughtful with my photography projects, and come up with ideas instead of just going out and shooting whatever. I don’t know how well I can manage that, because it’ll be my first time attempting to be like, professional. I’m laughing at myself, because these past two years have been so crazy with my autoimmune diseases, and instead of being you know, more careful, I’m just going for it. Being sick has definitely made me more fierce.

A little trip to the Middle Ages

A little trip to the Middle Ages

Provins, the medieval city

I’ve come here before, but I love this little town ! First time was with my boyfriend, it was super romantic, we had a walk through the garden of roses : it’s stunning there, and so cute. Obviously had to come back with my family, because I don’t know one person amongst them who doesn’t like roses… so I had to share the spot 😊

There’s a lot of history in this place, Jeanne d’Arc came for mass, and they have knights tornaments, people dress up, etc… it can be really fun. Other than that, you’ll see from the pictures that it’s quaint and pretty for a day to hangout outside of Paris. I’m only posting the first part now, because I took too many photos. You’ll get the rest soon, xoxox

Although it could not be more Greek, Crete is really a country within a country, with its own history, folklore, and traditions.

Ah, lovely Heraklion ! We love you so 🤍

It’s the capital of the island, and it’s a must do ! You gotta stay at least a night, because the nightlife is definitely the best here since there’s so much going on with tourism & such. Also, they have the most amazing restaurants… I’d suggest Apiri : take the plate of seafood pasta, trust me. And Peskesi, which are some of my absolute fave places to eat. Don’t go for dinner before 9:30pm or so, people eat late there, it’ll feel empty if you go too early, and who likes an empty restaurant ? Not us !

It’s also the best city for visiting museums, and marvelling at the Cretan architecture. So much archeological sites to see. For hotel, I’d suggest to sleep right in the city center, so you can go by foot everywhere you need. I love the Metropole Urban hotel because it’s close to my favorite eateries, and it’s built on lively square.

It takes a lifetime to discover Greece, but it only takes a moment to fall in love there

It takes a lifetime to discover Greece, but it only takes a moment to fall in love there

We’re here visiting a fortress in ruins in the city of Sitia 😊

Very picturesque town, not much for beaches though, but the sightseeings are unlike any other place in Crete we’d seen so far. We were exploring with great curiosity, and had a really nice moment there… but we left early, because the sun was crazy hot and we needed to get a swim !

It’s quite far east, and I’m not sure it’s worth going all the way there : time & gas wise. I’d say, turn back south west after Mochlos, which is definitely the prettiest fisherman village of the coast.

Enjoying the Mediterranean sun in Monaco

Enjoying the Mediterranean sun in Monaco

Whatever happens in Monaco, stays in Monaco ? 🇲🇨

This place is a little bit like Las Vegas, but with a heavy French Touch… so it’s beautiful ! Gorgeous even ! The city is basically divided in quarters, you have the casino one (with all the fancy luxury stores), the riviera where you can spot extravagant yachts, and the old town where the castle is, on top of a hill : which was my favorite.
