I was in a “dark” mood when I started editing this set of pictures, and instead of doing my usual which is brightening up the colors and making the places even more dreamy… I went for a black base. I spent some time on this, and I guess the results are not perfect, but at least I had fun and it came close to what I wanted to show, which is how I felt.
We started working with my muse, on a series of black and white pictures. I titled our project “B&W experimentations” and this is the first set of many to follow; I’ve always been attracted to monochromes, as I feel it gives an intimate look into a photographer’s work and I decided to play with lights and shadows, going here from a metallic to a more grungy look of my model.
I worked on this set with my muse, who modeled for me; I decided to go with an all natural “raw” look for her. She is stunning without any need for fancy makeup, or her hair to be brushed… I wanted to show how beautiful (and perfect 😀 ) she looks without any tricks. This photo shoot is unedited, these are the original pictures exported from my Leica camera and directly posted here. I simply used two filters found in-camera, the bleach bypass and monochrome.
