1 – I used to hate winter because of how cold it gets that season, and the snow that transforms in mud and gets you dirty… but now I find snow cute, and I like when it’s chilly outside as long as I’m wearing warm clothes. The Christmas Spirit is in me !
2 – I will drink so much hot cocoa and tea in winter, it’s actually scary.
3 – As I’m getting older, Christmas has become so important to me. I really need to celebrate it & like it should be. I have become a Xmazilla… total control freak over the decorations, and the comfort food, and music ! We’re having crazier than usual christmases now.
4 – I have the bad habit of buying myself a new pair of UGG boots every coming winter.
5 – I love staying cosy at home, it’s nice because I take extra time off to myself so I can read books… okay, and play video games. That’s the geek in me that speaks.
I love the winter season because it means staying cosy at home, with homemade hot chocolate eating comfort food & sweets and of course : watching movies ! I’m a total Netflix addict, so I binge everything I can on it.
They make actually good content, these are my six must-watch picks of the month. I’ve seen half of them so far, they were awesome. I’m super excited for the last one to come out, which is Mowgli, I have a feeling it will be very entertaining. Guys if you are in need for holiday themed movies, just head over there !
I got this marvelous idea from a Pinterest board, and it really inspired me to do my own bucket list of things for this winter season ! It’s time to enjoy and have fun in this wonderful cold weather, while it lasts…
• Make some homemade hot chocolate for sure, but the really “gourmet” one with marshmallow and sprinkles and whip cream 🙂 • Either bake some yummy cakes and cookies, or get them from an amazing bakery because we gotta pleasure our tummies ! • Go see a ballet like the Nutcracker, or at least the movie that’s come out in the theater. • Go ice-skating of course, that’s a must. • Make a scrapbook of all my winter pictures with family & friends, it’s fun and it’ll help to organize them. • Oh and I have to do a family christmas photoshoot to add to our scrapbook for this year. • Watch some Christmas movies over on Netflix, and enjoy. • Organize a winter-themed karaoke. • Throw a game-night at home, because I know I’ll win them all.
• Travel to someplace where it snows to do the rest of my bucket list, which involves… • Building a snowman • Catch snowflakes on my tongue ! • Have a snowy city walk • Have a snowball fight, duh • Visit a Christmas Market 😀
This Holiday season I have to pick up gifts for my family as usual, my friends of course, and something I never had to care about before, it’s someone new who has taken a huge part of my time this year, because I’ve met the love of my life ! The actual man of my dreams. I feel so blessed and happy, and I really need to nail this Christmas for all of them.
THE BEST FRIEND.
My best friend loves fashion and cute fancy boxes, atypical little things that she can keep around so I always try to get her the funniest and most original stuff.
My man is quite manly, but he also likes taking care of himself so I’m definitely gonna get him some beauty products for his beard and since he loves whisky and elegant materials, I’m gonna look for that.
They’re just like me when it comes to cosmetics and makeup, so I know I can easily make them happy with some awesome kits that have various things in them. Nice wintery clothing is always a good idea, and you gotta find that one thing that defines the person to make them special and different from the other members of the family – to show them that you know them !
ME, MYSELF & I.
Of course you have to think of yourself… Christmas is important because it also means that you need rewarding for your hard work, and your tenacity towards life and you gotta just empower yourself with something meaningful to you… or just splurge to your fantasy, because that’s also the magic of it all.
I know we’re in August, and it’s probably not socially acceptable to be thinking about winter, and the most magical time of the year which is for me, Christmas 🙂 but funny thing is that my best friend and I, have been missing it so much recently, I even made a Xmas moodboard !
Michael Bublé’s holiday album is playing on a loop at home, and I’m loving the feels I’m getting from it. The other day I talked with my BFF about how much I liked the smell of nutmeg candles, because it reminded me of the jolly season, and he said that he had just lit up one a moment ago… how crazy are we seriously ?
So I figured, let’s simply share our enthusiasm for Christmas on The Blog since it’s been a topic that has been on my mind for a couple of days already; guess what, I have a countdown until the 25th December, and I’m spending it at Disneyland Paris this year ! Can’t wait ! Christmas at Disneyland has always been my favorite way of celebrating this holiday.
